NDLI: Flow Control of Air Compressor in Fuel Cell System Based on Adaptive Look-Up Table Algorithm

Abstract	Air compressor, as a necessary external actuator in fuel cell system, is a typical and complex nonlinear system. The traditional control strategy of optimal oxygen excess ratio is converted to tracking control of air mass flow rate in this paper. Combined with two-dimensional linear interpolation table method and least square method, an adaptive look-up table algorithm is proposed. Simulation results in Matlab/Simulink show that the static table of the compressor can be updated accurately and automatically by the algorithm when the real static table varied. Meanwhile, the proposed algorithm has better dynamic performance such as less regulating time and less overshoot than by the traditional method(PI + static feedforward strategy).
