Abstract | Based on the power system analysis software, a method for establishing a simulation platform for large scale power system on which low frequency oscillation characteristic extraction, model identification, damping controller design and closed-loop validation can be conducted. Take Power System Analysis Software Package (PSASP) and its User Programming Interface (UPI) functional module as an example, the architecture of the platform is introduced by integration of a C++ matrix math library. Firstly, convergence, accuracy and reliability of the whole programming module (analysis software plus user's program) are guaranteed by the simulation platform. Secondly, due to C++ matrix math library and C++ programming environment are adopted, the platform is good for program transplantation and computational speed enhancement. The methodology of establishing such a simulation platform also can be extended to other power system analysis softwares and programming environments. Simulation results on the New England 10-machine 39-bus system verify the applicability and validity of the platform. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
