Description | A prince making love to a princess on a canopied terrace and enjoying music. The whole scene is laid on an enclosed terrace. A prince with a princess seated in an amorous pose under a canopy on a centrally raised octagonal platform. They are seated on a yellow carpet against a golden brocaded maslan (big cushion) and are enjoying music rendered by two female musicians. The prince wears a mauve undergarment, white jama and golden waistcoat and also plum red and golden turban. The prince looks young as has a thin line of the moustache as black hairs. The princess is amorous, on hero's lap also wears a brocaded golden skirt and a red with white spots ordhni and yellow colour. She is bedecked with ornaments. Besides them are lying golden shut box, hatch box as a stand, studded with pearls. In the foreground three candles, in the stand are seen burning. To the right, a female musician is seen playing on sitar seated on the edge of the raised platform while another female musician seated nearby on the terrace playing on the drum. They are wearing mauve skirt with golden odhni with green buttons and similar red and green undergarment as brocaded ordhni. To the left outside the canopy is standing a female chauri bearer in attendance. She wears a grey undergarment and a long yellow transparent jama as a golden conical cap (brocaded). Six golden pillars at six points for the support of brocaded canopy. In the foreground is the pink enclosure and white with latticework enclosure in the background. It has a dark grey horizon. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
