Abstract	Baumverteilungen in der Ebene lassen sich durch diskrete Funktionen beschreiben (Binomialverteilung, Poisson-Verteilung, Negative Binomialverteilung). Als stetige Funktion bei Abstandsmessungen ist die Erlang-Verteilung nützlich. Das Verhältnis von Beobachtungen zu ihren Parametern zeigt an, ob ein Bestand regelmäßig, zufällig oder aggregiert aufgebaut ist.Discrete distributions (binomial-, Poisson-, negative binomial- distribution) able to describe the spatial variation of trees in a stand. As continuous distribution for point-to-tree measurements the Erlang-distribution is useful. The relation of observations to their parameters shows which kind of spatial distribution is suitable for a stand: more or less regular, random or aggregated.
