Abstract	Neste artigo buscamos ampliar a discussao sobre os sentidos da “globalizacao” a partir da discussao sobre inclusao digital – acesso as tecnologias de informacao e de comunicacao/TIC – e as consequencias e desafios para a educacao. Dentro deste cenario, discutimos a producao teorica na area de educacao sobre a incorporacao das TICs no espaco educacional e a importância da formacao continuada de professores neste processo. Enfatizamos que a discussao sobre a incorporacao dos computadores e da internet na estrutura educacional inclui a necessidade de integrar os instrumentos tanto no nivel de concepcao quanto no da pratica, levando em conta a complexidade da relacao entre estes equipamentos e os conhecimentos e tecnicas utilizados pelos docentes. Abstract In this article we seek to broaden the discussion on the meanings of ";globalization"; from the discussion of digital inclusion - access to information technologies and communication / ICT - and the consequences and challenges for education. Within this scenario, we discuss the theoretical production in education on the incorporation of ICT in education space and the importance of continuing education for teachers in this process. We emphasize that the discussion on the embodiment of computers and the Internet in the educational structure includes the necessity to integrate the instruments at both the design and in practice, taking into account the complexity of the relationship between such equipment and the knowledge and techniques used by teachers.
