| Abstract | The paradigm of inclusion has been consolidating in recent years as a result of discussions around the world in an effort to design the founding bases of education for all. This paradigm establishes a new way of thinking about school, understanding it as a place that must be prepared to receive all students without exception. This raises the issue of the initial and continuing education of teachers who often are not prepared to deal with some situations. We understand that the initial preparation should provide the bases and tools for students, future teachers, to develop inclusive actions. Thus, this paper presents some actions taken in a program for teachers of Mathematics of the Federal University of Ouro Preto, Brazil. The course aimed to provide a perspective of inclusive education to future teachers of mathematics. We will highlight an experience in the course, Foundations of Mathematics Education, which allowed students to be aware of challenges that may arise in their future profession and that can be overcome with attitudes toward am Inclusive Mathematics Education. |
