| Abstract | The current work-life balance measures have not promoted the gender equality and the compatibility between work and family, due to being total or partial absence measures, assumed mainly by female workers, which have determined a relevant fact in the current gender salary gap between men and women. For this reason, the working time adaptation and flexibility as a work-family balance right, could be an optimal measure to achieve the gender equality, enabling the maintaining of women in the labour market, without the need of renounce neither to the salary nor the professional career, contributing to a greater co-responsability, and with the time rationalize, to a higher business productivity. |
