| Abstract | Objective: to evaluate the behavior, knowledge and attitudes of nursing students from a private school in Alagoas on Hepatitis B. Methods: a cross-sectional, quantitative study using a questionnaire. Results: 369 questionnaires were applied. Only (310-84.01%) recognize Hepatitis B as an STI. The most frequently reported form of transmission was blood transfusion (319-86.4%). About the vaccine, 366 (99.1%) indicated that it exists. Vaccination was the most cited form of prevention with 365 (98.9%), followed by condom use (54.47%) and EPI's (28.45%). Only 126 (34.1%) students use a condom, 07 (1.8%) have sex with sex workers, 136 (36.8%) have already suffered an accident with sharp piercing material, 55.28% have already undergone a serological test And 296 (80.2%) were vaccinated. Conclusion: it is necessary to stimulate the use of condoms in all sexual relations, vaccination and to prevent puncture-sharp accidents. Descriptors: Hepatitis B; Student; Nursing. |
