| Abstract | Vitamin C is that the one of vitamin that needed by the body to increase of the immune system. To complement the necessary of vitamin C, as a source of vitamin C is fresh fruits. Mango fruit is one of the very popular and liked by the public that contain vitamin C. The purpose of this research was to compare the contain of vitamin C in the of Arumanis mango, Golek mango and Shrimp mango that circulating in the city of Medan by the volumetric method with a solution of 2,6-Dichlorophenol Indophenol. The result showed the contain of vitamin C obtained of mango was 20.47 ± 0.42 mg/100g (Arumanis mango), 21.97 ± 0.45 mg/100g (Golek mango), and 18.39 ± 0.43 mg/100g (Shrimp mango). Statistically by SPSS software, show that there is different of the rate of the contain of vitamin C among Arumanis mango, Golek mango and Shrimp mango. In validation method test, the percent recovery is 90.67% and RSD is 1.49%. The results indicate a real difference between the contain of vitamin C by Arumanis mango, Golek mango and Shrimp mango. The contain of vitamin C by Golek mango is better than by Arumanis mango and and Shrimp mango. |
