| Abstract | This article presents the results of research conducted in the second half of the 2014 school year in the School of Physical Education and Sports University of Costa Rica. The perception of the teacher of Physical Education (PE) in service on the use of active and participatory methodologies in the subject was analyzed, which affects the concept of teaching practice. Under the structure of training courses for teachers it held a formative process of 12 hours, divided into 3 sessions, by a Spanish specialist. In these sessions were taught resources, teaching and practice examples on how to work the EF in the classroom, in order to create autonomy in students and the acquisition of an active role in the work, what we call practical teaching. They involved a total of 105 teachers, of whom 60 were men and 45 women. The study methodology was quantitative. A multiple regression analysis was used for seven variable generated through a validated questionnaire: 1) acquisition of general skills for the application of the methodology (AC); 2) learning content of the pupil in his role as a student during the application of the methodology (RE); 3) Motivation to perform implementation with their classmates as student population (ME); 4) Planning classroom activities (PC); 5) Intervention in class by the teacher (IC); 6) Feedback at the end of the class (RC); 7) Learning contents of the learner in his role as a teacher for the application of the methodology (RP). It was observed how the seven independent variables included in the analysis explain a 75.8% of the variance of the dependent variable, the practical teaching. In addition, the variables related to RE, RP PC contribute to the prediction of the practical teaching methodology. |
