| Abstract | This text presents the research involving the use of Second Life environment to support teaching and learning activities regarding Mathematics. Our goal was to investigate the possibilities of such environment to overcome the face-to-face traditional methodologies to teach Math contents. In order illustrate the possibilities of SL as educational resource for classes in mathematics, an experiment was carried out in the real situation of the classroom discipline of the course of a degree in mathematics, through a case study approach, with a qualitative, descriptive and interpretativa. The results, confirming the research hypotheses, experiments show that this innovative work is feasible for some content of mathematics, interdisciplinary, and the professor of mathematics teaching in the project activity. |
