| Abstract | Este trabajo se ocupa de estudiar el problema de la proteccion de los trabajadores migrantes y sus familiar. Para ello, se parte de la base que dicha proteccion debe ser hecha en funcion del caracter de derecho humano que posee. Se cuestiona el nivel de proteccion que se le entrega en la region latinoamericana. Se postula que dos factores deben ser estudiados con mayor profundidad a fin de entregar una mayor y mejor proteccion: la informalidad y la cobertura de seguridad social. This paper aims at studying the issue of the protection of migrant workers and their families. To this end, the basic premise is that this protection must be ensured according to the nature of human right which is based on. We call into question the level of migrant workers protection in the Latin American region. There are two factors which should be studied in more depth in order to provide a greater and better protection: informal employment and social security cover. |
