| Abstract | The urban climate of Nice (France) in a context of contrasted topography: synthesis using an inductive approach As a 30 years various measurements synthesis (ground surface, air at 2m high, airflow above the town) this paper is related with an inductive approach, leading into a statistical modeling. It shows that the urban climate of Nice is conditionned by topoclimatic mecanisms, linked to the town but also to relief and sea-land interface. The thermal breezes regime, almost tyrannical, controls climatic variables, and therefore influences strongly urban people life, drawing spatial climatic contrasts inside the town. |
