| Abstract | Due to the great interest shown by students in a public school, on issues and projects related to the environment and satellite images and the great distance between big centers and our city, came the motivation to propose a course of training of teachers in that area using as support all the material acquired during the training. In this present work a proposal for formation and training of teachers who work in the network invited teachers from public schools of our place. The methodology used emphasized the experience of two experienced teachers who are learning about through courses conducted at INPE, workshops on teaching during a symposium, held a discipline with students of the FEIS/UNESP of Ilha Solteira, technical visits, etc. It was observed that the steps by experienced teachers invited were the same as those experienced previously by the two teachers, starting up by resistance associated with questions of how to use the satellite images in some subjects. The next step was the presentation and use of all the teaching materials purchased, as books, handouts, images, programs, projects of other teachers, etc. The materials purchased from the INPE, UNESP. Were presented and their sources disclosed after which emerged opportunities for application in the classroom and in educational and environmental projects in schools. It was observed that after the training the teachers have become more receptive to learning. Our expectation is that these teachers use remote sensing as a resource teaching in the classroom and that used that knowledge in school and the community .
