| Abstract | Learning at the Age of 15: Factors that influence the Process This report deals with the necessity of approaching Secondary Education problems from a different and complex perspective. First of all, those PISA results causing concern and controversy in certain countries and which are not at the top ranking are analysed. On the other hand, restrictions in written tests are also discussed. Second, it highlights the information we know currently about the way or ways of learning as well as the influ- ence of the social and family environment, school ethos and teaching staff on the ways, expectations and inclination of teenagers to learn. The report concludes suggesting Secondary Education schools to provide students with appealing educational projects. Likewise, it also raises several questions which can be of any help in order to analyse the characteristics of the environment in which teenagers try to develop their own identity. |
