| Abstract | The construction industry has a role and an important dynamic in the economy of any country, because it covers infrastructure needs and improving living conditions of its inhabitants, additionally because of its multiplier factor, because of the sectors involved in their operation (Galindo, 2012). That is why you see the need for government programs, clear policies governing this sector and promote growth strategy gross domestic product GDP. For a country like Colombia, it is understandable that the characteristics of the industry and the private sector, the mi-SMEs have taken an increasingly active participation. The interest of this work is to identify and obtain an overview of the organizational characteristics that make competitive the mi-SME civil construction in the city of Bogota, in addition to identifying the influence of regional economic conditions in its consolidation This will be developed research work applied to a specific group of selected companies, with the focus competitiveness and conditions of managerial leadership. Work will be performed through a multiple case study, in which, through semi-structured interviews conducted with managers of selected companies, management styles and strategies to address competition. In parallel and as part of the process, we seek to understand the difficulties and obstacles presented by these companies in their process of formation and consolidation, with the limitation of having a convenience sample, considering that, although Colombia is a enterprising country, only 50% of micro, small and medium enterprises survive the first year and only 20% in the third year (Dinero, 2015). |
