| Abstract | This study aims to, 1)examine the differences in students' ability to solve PISA story problems with Change and Relationship content by gender; 2)describe Newman's errors. The study was conducted at SMPN 1 Sambi by taking two classes as samples. The type of this research used is Mixed Method Research. The data collection technique consists of tests, interview and documentation. This study uses source triangulation techniques and technical triangulation in testing the validity of the data. Qualitative data analysis techniques using the stages of normality, homogeneity, and Independent Sample T-test. Quantitative data analysis techniques use the stages of collecting, reducing, presenting data and drawing conclusions/ verification. The results showed that there were no differences in students' ability to solve PISA story problems that were significant in terms of gender. The average error is mostly done by students who are of moderate and low ability. |
