| Abstract | Resumo O estudo apresenta resultados da pesquisa realizada no Centro de Atendimento Socioeducativo do Polo de Caceres/MT acerca dos adolescentes em conflito com a lei e suas trajetorias educacionais. Os dados coletados foram obtidos pela interface entre ensino, pesquisa e extensao, utilizando-se para a coleta de dados fontes documentais e questionario socioeconomico cultural. Os resultados parciais trazem, alem das reflexoes teoricas ligadas a compreensao dos processos -- pesquisa, ensino e extensao --, a constatacao do numero expressivo de adolescentes infratores que apresentam distorcao idade/escolaridade e o comprometimento de uma geracao que em parte vai se manter ao longo de sua vida em subempregos, perpetuando uma condicao social que nao permite escapatoria de um ciclo vicioso de exclusao total, quer por efeito da globalizacao, quer por descaso em parte pelo segmento politico e pelo poder publico da regiao ou pelo abandono de diferentes governos estaduais. Potentialities of social reinsertion of juvenile offenders through sports and leisure activities at the Socio-educative Service Center in Caceres/MT Abstract This study presents outcomes from the research developed at the Socio-Educative Service Center in Carceres, MT, Brazil, regarding the adolescents in conflict with law and their educational paths. Collected data were obtained by the interface between instruction, research and extension, using documental sources and cultural socio-economic questionnaire. Beyond the theoretical thoughts related to the procedures comprehension - instruction, research and extension -, the partial results point to a significant number of juvenile offenders, who exhibit distortions between age and schooling. They also point to the fortune of a generation that, in some part, will fight their lives underemployed, perpetuating a social condition that does not rescue them from the vicious circle of complete exclusion, whether as an effect of globalization, or for the disregard by the regional politicians and public authorities, as well as the neglect of successive state governments.
