| Abstract | This work deals with the curricular environmentalisation of a B.Ed. course in Chemistry at a Brazilian state university. A perspective concerning how the environmental issue is dealt with in the current National Curriculum Guidelines in the Chemistry course is made clear, emphasizing the present dialogues regarding the proposal. Moreover, a comparison is made concerning how this issue was understood in the development process of the educational plan and how it has been interpreted by educationalists involved in its implementation. It is important to highlight that despite the difficulties observed there is a large demand for environmentalisation from the academic community of the Chemistry course in question. However, this process requires a great effort from both the people and the institution as it involves teaching factors, research, extra curricular courses and management in different educational places which help to train future professionals at a higher educational level. |
