| Abstract | The topic of this paper is the identification of a physiologically realistic model of EEG signals recorded from epileptic patients. The identification of this non-linear model can be addressed by means of different approaches. The approach presented in this paper is based on the minimization of a distance in a space of descriptors, by means of an evolutionary algorithm. Results from simulated and real EEG signals show that the identified values allow to distinguish and to interpret certain characteristic evolutions at the initiation of EEG crises. |
