| Abstract | This paper presents the Quality Events System from the Companhia Siderurgica de Tubarao (ArcelorMittal Tubarao) Hot Strip Mill. The Quality Event concept represents a pro-active vision for the quality evaluation process which highlights situations that may influence in the final product quality. This system consists in a software system that acquires and process the production data in order to identify quality events that had happened during a hot strip production. The paper presents the concepts involved in the system development, presents also the adopted architecture and its correlation with the automation levels adopted in the Companhia Siderurgica de Tubarao (ArcelorMittal Tubarao) structure. It also discusses about the development phase and presents some of the systems functionalities and some of its application results. |
