| Abstract | Vitor, AL. Prototype of an expert system for health organizations: Integrated Oriented Events for Treatment of Patients Critics; [dissertation]. Ribeirão Preto; 2016. The objective of this study was the development of an expert system in a hospital environment to support the medical diagnosis of critically ill patients with suspected sepsis in intensive care units. As specific objectives, the developed platform issued a warning after the real-time processing of all the information according to the unit sepsis protocol for each patient, such as: laboratory tests, monitoring, integration with the electronic medical record, thus indicating to the physician which patients need Priority at that time. The patients were classified according to the information processed above and identified in the system with the colors: red (eminent risk), yellow (medium risk), green (low risk). Such information should not be taken as unique but as an auxiliary technique and primarily required for hospital organizations seeking performance improvements through integrated event-driven solutions. Based on epidemiology and a longitudinal study, the study focuses on evaluating the system developed by identifying the following information through charts and indicators: treatment time in the unit, doctor's decision time, antibiotic initiation time, average time of results Laboratory, high clinical and mortality. Two samples of a group of adult patients over 18 years of age in an intensive care unit with suspicion of sepsis arriving at the Public Health Network were used in the study, comparing, through a longitudinal epidemiological study, patients who passed through the unit within three months with The implanted system and another sample with patients in the three months prior to the system. |
