Abstract	El presente trabajo tiene como proposito caracterizar los estilos de vida saludables y su contribucion en la formacion integral del estudiante universitario para de esta forma, repensar practicas educativas que contribuyan al logro de este objetivo. Los principales resultados se corresponden con las consideraciones teoricas expuestas que ponderan la formacion integral del estudiante universitario en el contexto actual, y se reconoce la emergencia de justificar modelos educativos que favorezcan estilos de vida saludables en este grupo etario. En el estudio resulto evidente la necesidad de propuestas innovadoras con una pertinente orientacion educativa, que permita a los estudiantes de la educacion superior apropiarse de actitudes responsables hacia los modos de vida saludables desde su profesion. PALABRAS CLAVE: desarrollo; profesion; sociedad. CONTRIBUTION OF THE HEALTHY LIFE STYLES IN THE INTEGRAL FORMATION OF THE UNIVERSITY STUDENT ABSTRACT This present work has as goal characterize the healthy life styles and his contribution in the integral formation of the university students with the purpose of rethink educative practices that contribute to archive this goal. The main results match with the theoretical considerations expose, that weigh the integral formation of the university students in the actual context, and it recognize the emergency of justify educative models that allows healthy life styles in this age group. In the study turn out evident the necessity of innovator proposals with an educative orientation that allows the university students grab responsible attitudes to healthy life styles from his profession.
