| Abstract | This project's main objective is to present the Guayaquil community a proposal text for the first year of the new Unified General Baccalaureate (BGU) for the subject of mathematics that covers all the topics outlined in the curriculum guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education and that has problems in application to reality for both the Bachelor of Science and Technical High School for the professional figures in business, administration and multipurpose service or accounting and administration. The work was divided in three stages, the first was the development of the text, in the second stage through a market research study was done on a sample of teachers to review the text and answer a survey about text features and their degree of acceptance. Similarly a market survey was conducted to parents to know issues of market mix which allowed to direct the marketing strategy at this stage also predicted future demand of the text. The third stage corresponded to the economic and financial evaluation which resulted in a profitable project. |
