| Abstract | There are theories about internationalization of enterprises, however, authors recently have criticized these theories, since the current market is changing, especially because of the internationalization of small enterprises. Some studies suggest that the classical models are inadequate for understanding the internationalization of small enterprises and indicate that factors such as the gradual nature of internationalization, the psychic distance and networks differ and need to be studied more. This article is a case study with a small Brazilian enterprise of technology that is internationalizing to Australia. The enterprise can be characterized as Born Global. We found evidences about the importance of networks and the role of entrepreneur. It was observed a reduction of psychic distance, due to the existence of the network and that the internationalization has contributed to the acquisition of new resources relevant to the company. |
