| Abstract | This study aims at understanding the implications for professional development of cooperative teachers of the presence of student-teachers in a primary school classroom. The study aims also at verifying, in the process of supervisory practice, the aspects of the supervisory system which have a larger impact in the creation of a reflexive attitude in cooperative teachers, and which dimensions of the practicum organization contribute to a change in educational practices. A large theoretical referential was used (theoretical thinking, reflective practices, reflection in action, and the effects of pedagogical supervision). For analyzing data, the theoretical thinking of Dewey, Novoa, Perrenoud, among others, gave a new contribution. As methods , the study is inscribed in the qualitative paradigm, using, initially, five semi-structured interviews to cooperative teachers and one to a university supervisor. At the end of the data collection, a “focus group” was developed with all cooperative teachers. The results show that in-service training of teachers through processes of student-teachers supervision, may be an excellent moment for training a reflective practice. This reflective practice is based on the introduction of new elements in the classroom, such as small meetings, seminars, debate of ideas and practices, attitudes and questioning, a critical analysis of reality, and the awareness of the mutability of learning processes and procedures. |
