| Abstract | In early childhood education, the quality of adult-child relationships is a key element in terms of building a sense of security, self-esteem, curiosity and desire to learn, willingness and ability to communicate with others. The child and adult engagement scales are instruments that, as a whole, support the understanding of the child's inner experience and the relational adjustment of the adult to the situation experienced by the child. In this article, considering situations described by practitioners, it is intended to highlight the importance of these instruments in supporting reflection and improvement of educational practices. |
