| Abstract | The research was of court qualitative and had a general objective, to determine the utility of the previous organizers as a reading comprehension strategy to assimilate the new information of informative texts in the area of Spanish language. To such aim, the research group opted for the level of interpretive descriptive knowledge. There was two techniques of information collection used: the survey for which a questionnaire of twenty-seven questions was used and the semistructured interview, in which the script of interview was applied to three teachers and the procedural field notes applied to twenty-five students of the Manuela Beltran Educational Institution. The information obtained was broken down in detail through simple descriptive statistical analysis and the analysis of content, in which the following results were obtained. In the survey, there were five things found based on the practices of teachers against reading comprehension as in the interview there was four notions found that teachers have against reading comprehension, five elements found in the application of the strategy. From the previous results classroom practices and the notions over comprehensive reading that teachers have, served as the basis for the design and application of the strategy. |
