| Abstract | This article presents the most recent initiatives in the field of public policies aimed at black youth in Brazil through the Juventude Viva Plan, instituted nationally in 2013 in the Government of Dilma Rousseff. Initially, it reviews literature on racism, the result of the country's historical heritage, interrelating with youth violence. It presents the principles, numbers, characteristics and guidelines of the Juventude Viva Plan structured from four axes and its proposal of implementation in the municipalities. Finally discusses the new perspectives of this public policy in face of the new challenges imposed by the current government. |
