| Abstract | In this work it is presented the social construction of dynamics of participation in the characteristics practices of a classroom community. Emphasis is made on the forms of participation of student-teacher while he/she interacts with other participants during the practicum. From a sociocultural approach, the dynamics of participation are propounded as complex configurations of joint activity situated in local practices of a community, which are constructed moment-by-moment by the interaction of all the involved participants, and they offer different learning opportunities. The data analysed correspond to 15 sessions of an infant-school classroom community where 18 students (4-5 years old), tutor-teacher, student-teacher and, periodically support-teacher and psychomotricity-teacher, participate together. The analysis revealed different forms of joint activity of the participants around different typical tasks of the classroom community. Also it accounted for different forms of involvement of each teacher in that joint activity. This has allowed the characterisation of the opportunities of participation that are offered to student-teacher to experience and learn the typical competences of the profession in the community. |
