| Abstract | Objective:to determine what is the relationship between levels of emotional intelligence of a Peruvian company and their job performance. Method: Descriptive-explanatory study. A survey was used with a sample of 187 workers from various areas of the company, identifying four variables to measure emotional intelligence: self-knowledge, self-motivation, self-control and interpersonal relationships. Results: The relationship between emotional intelligence and worker performance was directly proportional in all cases. Conclusions: Workers in critical business areas such as castings, have a low level of emotional intelligence, unlike the other areas that are performing well as metal constructions, whose level of emotional intelligence is significantly higher. |
