| Abstract | The use of banned substances in gyms for the cult of the body is constant and increasingly full of irresponsibility, among these are the anabolic steroids AEs, which used improperly can bring several side effects and serious health problems. However, many users do not know the effects that drugs can bring and this may be the cause that leads to many bodybuilders using AEs. The aim of the study was to identify the factors that lead men bodybuilding practitioners to use these banned substances if they recognize the risks that AAs bring health and what the most commonly used substances. It is noticed that the use remains inconclusive, the main reason for use is the rapid increase in muscle mass or the scope of the desired results, also influences the media that promotes models of perfect bodies almost impossible to obtain. |
