| Abstract | The article discusses concepts on school management that serve as the foundation for the production of a quality education that serve the necessities of the working classes. The discussion centers around the concepts of democratic school management, decentralization, autonomy, and pedagogical project. The objective here is to present both the potential and limitations these concepts have in the improvement of schooling. The article identifies as obstacles to their success, existing structural and curricular shortcomings of schools, as well as the insatisfactory results of these concepts in the transformation of the structure and management of schools in favor of their democratization and improvement in quality of education. |
