| Abstract | The aim of the studies was to determine the influence of herbicide chlorotoluronu applied with oil adjuvants and surfactant on soil microbial activity under controlled conditions. Herbicide containing adjuwants and surfactant was applied to two different soils, which had similar textures, pH and organic carbon content but varied in content of copper and zinc. The soil samples were taken for analysis at given intervals. Soil microbiological activity was analyzed using colorimetric method. The amount of formazan (TF) in soil samples was considered as a microbial activity indicator. High concentration of heavy metals in soil decreased microbial activity. Use of surfactant reduced negative impact of chlorotoluron on soil microorganisms. Application of oil adjuvant with chlorotoluron promoted faster microbial regeneration in soil. |
