Abstract	O objetivo deste texto e analisar o desempenho do mercado de trabalho da Regiao Metropolitana de Porto Alegre nos primeiros cinco meses de 2015, tendo por base os dados da Pesquisa de Emprego e Desemprego na Regiao Metropolitana de Porto Alegre (PED-RMPA). Para tanto, sao utilizadas as seguintes variaveis: ocupacao, desemprego e rendimentos do trabalho. Com base nas informacoes citadas, busca-se apreender os movimentos do mercado de trabalho em um contexto de crise do nivel de atividade da economia do Rio Grande do Sul e do Brasil. TITULO EM INGLES The labor market in the Metroplitan Area of Porto Alegre (RMPA): poor performance in the first months of 2015 This paper aims at analyzing the performance of the labor market in the Metropolitan Area of Porto Alegre in the first five months of 2015, based on data from the Employment and Unemployment Survey of the Metropolitan Area of Porto Alegre (PED-RMPA). In order to do so, the following variables were used: occupation, unemployment and earnings. Grounded on the information mentioned above, we intend to comprehend the movements of the labor market in a context in which both Brazil and the State of Rio Grande do Sul are going through an economic downturn.
