| Abstract | Introduc�u on: Congenital heart diseases aff ect approximately 1% of the world’s children. Without correcƟ ve surgery, many of these paƟ ents die prematurely. HRAEV experience in postoperaƟ ve care is discussed. Material and methods: A retrospecƟ ve, descripƟ ve, cross-secƟ onal observaƟ onal study in which the outcome of paƟ ents undergoing reparaƟ ve cardiac surgery was analyzed in one year was performed. Results: Six surgeries were performed, with level of RACHS-1: 1 and 2, age range of 2-14 years (median 4 years), 60% of paƟ ents were female and 40% male. Discussion: Our results refl ect the current global trend to minimize the mechanical venƟ laƟ on Ɵ me, aorƟ c clamping and CPB, and provide Ɵ mely treatment of complicaƟ ons and thereby reduce mortality. |
