| Abstract | he purpose of this study was analyze the hygienic-sanitary conditions of street foods and to profile its vendors in the city of Imperatriz,MA. Therefore, it was realized a study of quantitati - ve nature with descriptive and exploratory character situation in the period from October until December of 2012, in which were interviewed 21 vendors through structured questionnaires composed of open and closed questions about the purposes of the research, based on the Board Resolution (BR) no 275, on October 21, 2002. Based on these results, it was verified a large number of factors which did not comply with the requirements of the legislation for ensuring the production of safe food. In this context, it is necessary a program aiming the good handling practices and marketing of foods in a way to prevent possible incidents of foodborne outbreaks caused by food contamination in the city investigated. |
