| Abstract | Since antiquity, Geometry is an object of study and interest because of its relation with other areas of Mathematics and its applicability in the daily life. Currently, the teaching of Geometry offers the possibility of innovation with several study tools, bringing benefits to the learning and development of Mathematics teaching. This project presents the development of some relevant theories about Plane Euclidean Geometry and some constructible numbers. It is also addressed a brief historical account of Euclid and his work and the various attempts to solve some classical problems. Then, it is briefly presented a study on Conics. The next topic is about Origami, its history and the axiomatic system of Huzita-Hatori, its relation with Plane Euclidean Geometry and the geometric concepts presented by Euclid. During the development of this work, it is presented some applications on different themes, with resolutions through mathematical concepts or folding. Finally, activities are presented with folds, which can be performed with elementary or high school students. |
