| Abstract | The processes of construction of peace reach their highest expression within the territories; it is there where the changes in life conditions of the most affected groups can indicate us how close or how far we are in the goal of advancing towards the building of a long-lasting stable peace in the country. In this paper we present our reflections about the actuation of the women’s movement, as a product of the Red de Mujeres del Caribe, a corps that reunites several groups of women’s organizations around the Colombian Caribbean Region. At the end we must be able to identify those factors leading to successful processes that must be strengthened, as well as those other that need to be adjusted in order to boost the wagers of the construction of peace. Then we pretend -under the guidance of six reflections about our daily work in the Caribbean region- to advance in the setting up of strategies that expand the results achieved in terms of sociocultural, economic, political and relations with the surrounding nature strategies aimed to build a sustainable peace with social and gender justice. |
