| Abstract | This article aimed to analyze the content of Afro-Brazilian and African History and Culture in the textbook of Youth and Adult Education, in the 2nd segment of elementary education, stage V, with comments to Law 10.639/2003. The study took place at the Municipal Public School of Basic Education Francisco Rocha Ramos, in Acarape, Ceara. It is assumed that the teaching-learning of Afro-Brazilian and African History and Culture has always been one of the crucial issues for basic education, specifically for the education of young people and adults, whose student body is composed of social subjects that are outside of and there is considerable time away from formal education, but carries with it a significant framework of non-formal learning or experience. For this and other reasons, it is conceived that this modality of education requires differentiated didactic-pedagogical approach that fits the reality of the young or adult student. |
