| Abstract | O presente trabalho aborda a historia da LIBRAS e sua legalizacao como lingua, bem como, a importância de seu ensino e conhecimento por profissionais da informacao, em especifico o Bibliotecario, onde traz a ideia da insercao e ensino desta lingua dentre estudantes que estao se formando no curso de Biblioteconomia, como incentivo a mediacao da informacao em seus varios âmbitos. O objetivo do estudo e apresentar a necessidade em se compreender esta lingua e utiliza-la no atendimento e trato com usuarios surdos, utilizando-a como ponte para a inclusao espontânea. Serao abordados tambem a formacao do bibliotecario, sua forma de atuacao no espaco informacional e uso da comunicacao dentre boa parte de suas atividades, o que nos remete ao uso da lingua como ponte entre Usuario X Bibliotecario e via primordial para compreensao das necessidades do usuario. Foi feito um levantamento bibliografico sobre o assunto com base em autores que abordam o mesmo tema em suas producoes. Como resultado, obtivemos um novo olhar sobre a abordagem do tema de forma interdisciplinar que confirmam a necessidade e reflexao a respeito da insercao e presenca deste contexto na formacao destes profissionais. A bibliographicsurveyonthesubjectwasmadebasedonauthorswho approach thesametheme in theirproductions. As a result, weobtained a new look onthesubject approach in aninterdisciplinarywaythatconfirmstheneedandreflectionregardingtheinsertionandpresenceofthiscontext in the training oftheseprofessionals.
