| Abstract | espanolLa importancia de las practicas en el Grado de Turismo se manifiesta por el cumplimiento de competencias relevantes que el alumno mejorara a traves de las mismas. El presente trabajo refleja los resultados del analisis de la percepcion de competencias adquiridas por los estudiantes de turismo de la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos en las practicas externas, los puntos fuertes y debiles de las mismas y comparandolo con las expectativas de los alumnos antes de realizar las practicas. Asi se ha podido observar la brecha existente entre ambos. El metodo llevado a cabo ha sido cuantitativo a traves de: (i) una muestra de 100 alumnos que no habian realizado practicas (mediante cuestionarios de expectativas) y (ii) un cuestionario de autoevaluacion de competencias adquiridas dirigido a una muestra de 100 estudiantes que ya habian hecho las practicas. Los resultados muestran que no hay diferencias significativas entre expectativas y percepciones aunque si se manifiestan dispersiones mas altas en las competencias esperadas por los estudiantes. Asi mismo, por el tipo de practicas realizadas, las competencias mas operativas son las que los estudiantes entienden que han adquirido en mayor medida. EnglishThe importance of internships in the tourism undergraduate degree is reflected through the compliance of relevant competences through which students improve. This paper reflects the results of the analysis of the perception of skills acquired by tourism students of Rey Juan Carlos University during the external internships, the strengths and weaknesses and comparing these with the expectations of the students before the internship. Through this, the existing gap between both has been observed. The applied method has been of quantitative nature through (i) a sample of 100 students who did not participate in an internship (using a questionnaire based on expectations) and (ii) a self-assessment questionnaire on the acquired skills of 100 students who already participated in the internship. The results show that there are no significant differences between expectations and perceptions although a higher dispersion in the expected competencies of the students has been observed. As a result, depending on the type of internship, students perceive to have acquired a higher degree of operational competencies. |
