| Description | In view of the development of apparel collections, it is necessary to consider several factors such as current and future trends, materials (textiles), target/consumer, and principles and elements of design. Simultaneously, it is associated to these the colour factor. This work focuses on the textile attributes and aesthetics (with or without pattern, its colour, the fabric composition and finishes), considering, at the same time, masculine and feminine genders, as well as genderlessness, and how one can influence the other. In this context, based on the theorical research presented, we recognize the importance, not only of form and style, but mainly of colour in clothing and how this can be a problem and a solution for the development of genderless garments.
