| Description | The importance or focus on literacy is in line with helping children face the challenges of a more complex future. Therefore parents need to teach literacy early at home. Home is the first place for children to get an education. The purpose of this study is to describe parents' perspectives on home literacy environment. The method used was a meta-analysis of previous research related to literacy in the home environment. The analysis shows two main themes from ten articles analyzed, namely: 1) parental perceptions of literacy skills at home, 2) the relationship of parents' perspectives on children's initial literacy and interests.
