From psychological burden to social economic changes: Analysis impact of evictions for women in Jakarta

Description	107A 'house' does not merely mean a building to live; instead it is defined by complex and long-term relationships. House eviction could affect the psychological state as well as social-economy status— as their place turned into debris. This research is intended to analyze the effects of eviction, especially for women and children. This research is analyzed by using post-positivistic-mixed method paradigm. The research is located in DKI Jakarta and conducted for three months (March-May 2018). The samples of this research are 430 respondents, consists of women evictees in DKI Jakarta, especially DAS Ciliwung and Penjaringan residents who are relocated to Jatinegara and Marunda flats. The findings show eviction causes changes in many aspects which are directly faced by women such as; first, compulsion when relocated process, low compensation, compulsion to accept compensation, trauma, and depression. Second, dissimilar development and social exclusion. Third, social-economy changes and decreasing income.
