Farmer households’ vulnerability and coping strategies of floods in Kertamulya Village, Karawang District, Indonesia

| Description | Natural and environmental disasters such as flooding have direct impacts on farmers' lives. This condition drives farmers to have strategies in coping with flood while maintaining their livelihoods. The objective of this paper is to see the correlation between the level of livelihood vulnerability and the level of resilience of farmers exposed to floods with the livelihood assets owned. Using purposive sampling, 45 respondents was selected from Kertamulya Village, Karawang District to answer questionnaires. The results showed that the livelihood asset affects the level of vulnerability and resilience. The lower the livelihood asset, the more vulnerable the households in facing floods.
