As a consequence, waterborne polyurethanes may enhance the performance, efficiency, and environmental presentation of automobiles. Waterborne polyurethane-based materials are not only used in exterior car bodies for protection and energy conservation, but may also be applied in coatings, adhesives, and internal automobile parts. Waterborne polyurethane coatings have emerged as efficient eco-friendly materials with high solvent confrontation, mechanical resistance, and outstanding weathering resistance. Moreover, such ecological coatings have nonflammable properties for vehicle use. Waterborne polyurethane-based materials have excellent adhesion to automotive substrates.
