Abstract Les personnes souffrant de troubles mentaux s’intègrent mal sur le marché du travail. En Belgique, par rapport aux personnes qui ont une bonne santé mentale, elles enregistrent un taux d’emploi inférieur de 15 points de pourcentage et un taux de chômage supérieur de 10 points. Bon nombre de celles qui exercent une activité rencontrent des difficultés professionnelles (quatre travailleurs sur cinq souffrant de troubles mentaux déclarent être moins performants au travail) et les demandes de pension d’invalidité pour cause de mauvaise santé mentale sont fréquentes et leur nombre va croissant. Les troubles mentaux sont la cause principale de demande de prestations pour environ un tiers des 260 000 bénéficiaires de l’assurance invalidité et pour une proportion importante des 160 000 bénéficiaires de l’allocation d’invalidité. Il en résulte un coût important pour la société, les employeurs, les personnes concernées et leurs familles, dont le montant est estimé à 3.4 % du PIB de la Belgique.

It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
