Abstract	Le nombre croissant de jeunes adultes handicapés dans l’enseignement tertiaire n’a qu’un impact relatif en termes d’insertion professionnelle. Les jeunes adultes handicapés ont un accès à l’emploi plus malaisé que l’ensemble de la population, sont surexposés au chômage de longue durée, à l’emploi précaire et à temps partiel et, ce faisant, à la pauvreté. En cela, leur transition vers l’emploi suppose un renforcement des liens entre les lycées et le marché de l’emploi ainsi qu’un développement de synergies permettant de conjuguer réussite dans l’enseignement tertiaire et insertion sociale et professionnelle. Il importe à cet égard de faciliter l’acquisition d’une expérience professionnelle dans l’enseignement tertiaire, de mieux inclure la question de l’emploi dans les stratégies des services d’admission et d’accompagnement des étudiants handicapés et de renforcer les liens entre les établissements d’enseignement tertiaire et les milieux de l’emploi.
