Abstract	Impulse radiating antennas are noted for their large on-axis radiation field. Little attention has been paid to their non-radiation inductive and electrostatic components which become dominant at small ranges. These fields may become important sources of electromagnetic interference electronic equipment located at small ranges. This paper provides a detailed derivation of the inductive and electrostatic fields in the frequency domain for a simplified model of an impulse radiating antenna (IRA), expressed in a spherical coordinate system. This derivation emphasizes meticulous execution in order to avoid apparent but, in practice, non-existing singularities. Such situations arise from the use of derived variables that appear in the denominator of transcendental functions
